Research for change in donation and volunteering habits with age

I’m always into something, checking it out, figuring it’s angles, and more importantly, understanding how it impacts us in our daily lives.

Most of you know I’m heavily involved in the promotion of Lanta Animal Welfare, an animal rescue on Koh Lanta, where I live in southern Thailand.  Their mission is to relieve the pain and suffering of the animals.  This translates into a rescue initiative with a full vet clinic/hospital, mobile sterilization clinics in the area to help control the population a humane way, and to rehome the rescue animals once they recover, when they can’t be returned to where they were from.

Fundraising and volunteering are key aspects of any charity.  I focus on the former.  As their CFO, and financial advisor, I’m deeply emmersed in non-profit fundraising, and have been for the past 5 years.  I’ve learned so much, and enjoy the quirks and mystery of fundraising.  It isn’t intuitive, nor is it easy.  But it can be so rewarding when a plan comes together.  Over the past few years I’ve coached many people on non-profit promotion and fundraising, and love it when they achieive a level of success.

I think it’s time to write it all down.  So I’m preparing to write a book on how to successfully fundraise.  My target audience are those who would like to help a charity with fundraising, but have no background nor knowledge of how to be effective.  What we think works, actually doesn’t, and it’s frustrating.  But doing it effectively is easy to learn at any age.

I’m now putting together the structure for the book, and started to do a lot of research to support my advice.  I’ve also put together a short 10-question survey that I’d love you to take.  You can access it HERE.

I ask no personal questions, so it’s completely secure and can’t be traced back to you.

Feedback is great

You may even enjoy anwering these questions and find you have comments and suggestions for me.  I welcome your feedback.  Use the Contact Me tab above, or click here to contact me.

Can I interview you?

I’m also looking to interview a range of people: all ages, backgrounds, and so on.  If you would be willing to be interviewed, please let me know in the comments below, use the Contact Me tab above, or click here.  I’ll get back to you to arrange a time and day.  Let me know a bit about yourself, like where you live, your age, and if you’ve previously been or currently are a volunteer or a donor.  I have no  requirements on who to interview, other than include a broad range of people.

I thank you in advance for helping me with my research.

It’s all good!
